The Labor Department reports the U.S. economy added 156,000 jobs in December, below expectations for 178,000 jobs. The unemployment rate rose to 4.7%. Meanwhile, the labor force participation rate rose a tick to 62.7%. November Non Farm Payrolls revised from 178,000 to 204,000. October Non Farm Payrolls revised from 142,000 to 135,000.
