Fed’s Dudley says case for interest-rate hike has become ‘a lot more compelling’

New York Fed President William Dudley on Tuesday said that “animal spirits have been unleashed a bit” in the wake of the presidential election, pointing to the rise in the stock market. Bond yields spiked after Dudley’s comments were reported with the two year yield rising to 1.26%. The dollar also jumped. In addition odds of a March hike hit 70% after Dudley’s remarks.
